I think that this is the highlight of Ad Explorata. It’s mesmerizing live, and it’s even better in the car. Though I have to admit, the drop is a little out of place. Back to studying for my lab practical.

Not music-related, but whatever. It must be known that Javik is the biggest troll in the Universe.
”When I watch any debate, obviously I play one of those drinking games. But I knew there were 2 debates this weekend, so to take it easy, I took a shot only when someone said the word ‘contraception’. By the end, I was more wasted than a donation to the Huntsman campaign.”
STS9 - When the Dust Settles
To anybody following: Do you find Seth MacFarlane pretentious? I love Family Guy as much as the next guy, but just knowing that he voices something like 75% of the characters on the show, his non-sequiturial injection of show tunes into every other episode, and the CONSTANT liberal rantings sometimes puts me off. I like big band music, liberal politics, and MacFarlane’s humor, but he just overdoes it.
/rant, here’s some STS9.

Seriously, listen to this EP. I’m not a big fan of Golden Gate or Winter Sun myself, but you might be. The highlight of the album for me is When the Dust Settles, which is the perfect music for any situation. It makes for excellent driving music, party music, music while you’re stoned out of your mind, or relaxing music. Heavy beats, ethereal arpeggiated chords floating in and out, and almost-empty interludes all help set an almost spooky, yet oddly-familiar mood.
Arcade Fire - The Suburbs

Everyone’s in such a hurry to grow up. There’s never any time to stop, reflect, and contemplate the future. We’re too eager to get in our cars and drive away, but sometimes, the best times we’ve had have been right in our lawns, with our neighbors. That is, when people were actually talking to their neighbors. This song is a throwback to the simpler times, a reminder of where most of us grew up, and where most of us will end up.
Oh Win, I love your band’s music, but neither you nor Regine can sing!
OK Go - This Too Shall Pass
Meh. OK Go is not anything spectacular or groundbreaking. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great, but they’re definitely your average rock band. That being said, I still love this song and loved it even more when they played it live at Outside Lands.
